Why is the Hazelett Maintenance Free Mooring System Superior?

The elastic rode has excellent abrasion resistance and eliminates the periodic inspection and maintenance of chain and other metal-to-metal wearing parts. The only metal-to-metal in our system is the shackle connecting the rode to the anchor. We oversize this stainless steel shackle.

We recommend our 5-ft spar buoy to prevent potential propeller damage to the mooring system and to reduce the potential for ice to move the mooring.
