Dock Anchoring

Docks anchored with chain will tend to wander at low tide when slack builds in the chain. This will cause peak loading of the chain connections at various points along the dock when wave action is high. Pile anchored docks can ruin the view and are high maintenance.

The Hazelett elastic dock connections are under tension at low tide and will provide adequate force to keep the dock in one position. The elastic rodes will stretch as the tide increases to provide even forces on all of the anchoring connections. The elastic anchoring is eco-friendly because it does not disturb the seabed.

Wave Attenuator Anchoring

Severe weather can cause high impact loads on the chain connections for wave attenuators. The high impact loads can weaken the structure to the point of failure or severely reduce its service life.

Hazelett elastic anchoring of wave attenuators places an even load on the entire structure that will decrease the stress placed on joints and connections. The decreased stress will add years of service life. The reduced maintenance will save your resources for other projects.
